Static X was an American heavy metal band formed in 1994 in Los Angeles, California. The band was known for blending elements of industrial metal, nu metal, and alternative metal to create their unique sound. The band became popular in the late 1990s and early 2000s, with hits such as "Push It" and "Cold".

The band's original lineup consisted of Wayne Static (vocals, guitar), Koichi Fukuda (guitar), Tony Campos (bass), and Ken Jay (drums). They released their debut album "Wisconsin Death Trip" in 1999, which was met with critical acclaim and commercial success.

Static X continued to release several more albums over the years, including "Machine" in 2001, "Shadow Zone" in 2003, and "Cannibal" in 2007. The band went on hiatus in 2010 but returned in 2011 with a new lineup.

Tragically, Wayne Static passed away in 2014, leading to the dissolution of the band. However, in 2019, the remaining members of Static X reunited for a memorial tribute tour in honor of Wayne Static, performing under the name "Static-X: Wisconsin Death Trip 20th Anniversary".
